HeartLife is hosting their first charity fundraiser on March 26, 2023, at the VIFF theatre in Vancouver to Premiere the feature documentary MY BROKEN HEART – A Nick Zap film that received an honourable mention at the Santa Monica International Film Festival in 2020.

MY BROKEN HEART is a feature-length documentary shot over 5-years following the lives of Jillianne Code, Mark Wilson, and Cody Halfpenny as they face the opportunities and challenges of heart transplantation. Witnessing the journey from end-stage heart failure, LVAD, transplant, and organ rejection, MY BROKEN HEART is a raw, unflinching look at the road to heart transplant through the eyes of a caregiver.
